3rd Price Award for Portrait of Dali, "Very sensitive, especially in the eyes"
 Bill Schmidt, an acomplished american landscape painter juried the the 35th annual art show at the Womans Club of Chevy Chase with over 400 peaces of artwork and eight categories. He awarded the 3rd price in the portraits category to "Dali", a pen and ink drawing of fine artist and art instructor Vian Borchert. Schmidt described Vians artwork as "a superp drawing, very sensitive in the eyes".
Dali is on display until March 28, 2010. |

Art classes for Spring 2010 at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn
The Art classes for the Spring Season 2010 are available for registration. The Early Spring classes are held from early March through mid April. The Late Spring classes are held from late April through early June. Each block consists of 6 classes and each class is 2 hours. Check out the schedule and register online!
